Rustins Door Oil
Preparation: The wooden surface must be clean, dry and free from any wax or varnish coating.
Remove any previous varnish with a paint stripper or by sanding with P120 - P180 grit abrasives; fill any small imperfections with a good quality filler before wiping over to remove all dust.
Application: Test in an inconspicuous area to confirm suitability and the final colour. A few drops of water onto the bare wood will give an indication to the colour the oil will bring out in the wood. Apply the first coat of Rustins Door Oil thinly and evenly with a good quality brush such as Mako 5* Pro Woodcare Brush or Mini Microfibre Roller. Leave to dry for 4-6 hours before applying a second coat as per the first, 2-3 coats will be required. Rustins Door Oil can also be applied with a lint-free cloth, further coats will be required.
