Osmo UV Protection Oil Tints 425 Oak:
It is a basecoat and top coat all in one that protects your wood against mould algae and fungal attack.
Preparation: The wooden surface must be clean and dry before applying Osmo UV Protection Oil Extra. Thoroughly remove any previous varnish by sanding with P120 grit abrasives.
Application: Test in an inconspicuous area to confirm suitability and the final colour. Apply Osmo UV Protection Oil Extra evenly with a good quality brush such as Mako 5* Pro Woodcare Brush or for larger areas Osmo 220mm Floor Brush. On bare timber two coats will be required, apply a second coat after allowing to dry overnight or 10-12 hours as per the first.
Areas of use: External joinery including windows and doors, cladding, gates, garden furniture and much more.
Can it be used on Green Oak? A moisture test must be performed before using Osmo UV Protection Oil on Green Oak. Because the moisture in Green Oak and oils do not mix, the moisture content must be below 20% before treating with UV Protection Oil.
Finish available: Clear Satin-matt, Oak Satin-matt, Cedar Satin-matt, Natural Satin-matt
The Oak and Cedar versions of UV Protection Oil produce a slightly darker finish than the standard Clear, enhancing the beautiful colour of the wood and giving longer UV protection, whilst the Natural is specifically for use on light coloured woods.
