Osmo Polyx Oil Tints - 750ml
Preparation: The wooden surface must be clean and dry before applying Osmo Polyx Oil Tints. Remove any previous varnish by sanding with P120 - P150 grit abrasives; fill any small imperfections with a good quality filler, larger cracks can be filled by mixing the saw-dust with a Joint Gel filler, before vacuuming to remove all dust.
Application: Test in an inconspicuous area to confirm suitability and the final colour. Apply the first coat of Osmo Polyx Tints hard wax oil thinly and evenly in the direction of the grain with a good quality brush, such as Mako 5* Pro Woodcare Brush or for larger areas Osmo 220mm Floor Brush or Microfibre Roller.
For most colours the second/ final coat should be clear Osmo Polyx Oil Original applied as per the first. It is recommended when using White Tints, two coats of white are used. When using the other colours, if a more intense colour is required, the second coat applied could be Polyx Oil Tints (total number of two coats to be applied).
Osmo Polyx Oil Silver and Gold are most effective when applied over dark woods and are particularly suitable for use onto dark smoked or fumed oak, producing the stunning effects in the colour swatches below.
Cleaning: Osmo Wash and Care should be used for general cleaning of Polyx treated floors. It is a water soluble concentrate designed specifically for cleaning oiled and waxed floors, without drying out the wood or removing the finish.
If a higher sheen level is required or the floor needs refreshing or reviving after hard use, Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner is also available.
Finish available: Satin Matt
Colours Available: White, Honey, Amber, Terra, Graphite, Black, Silver and Gold
Plus NEW: Polyx Oil Raw - a unique blend of oils, waxes and a special pigment, designed to give an almost unfinished raw appearance. Its 'raw' pigment works particularly well with Oak and other light coloured timbers such Ash or Spruce, drying without leaving the standard 'wet-look' appearance.
