Hammerite Smooth - 2.5L:
Preparation: Remove all loose rust and flaking paint with a wire brush. Then wash the surface down with a mild detergent solution removing any dirt, dust or grease. Rinse with clean water and allow to dry.
Pre-application on a painted surface: Paint a small test area with Hammerite and leave for 1 hour. If there is no reaction you are clear to proceed and paint the rest of the surface. If there is a reaction, remove all existing paint prior to painting with Hammerite.
On bare galvanised metal surfaces including aluminium, copper, brass, chrome and stainless steel, use Hammerite Special Metals Primer prior to painting with Hammerite Metal Paint.
Application: Lightly stir, not too vigorously, before application in an ideal temperature range of 8 - 25DegC. Hammerite can be brushed, sprayed or rollered. Previously painted surface may only require a single coat, bare or rusty surfaces will require 2 coats.
Cleaning: Remove as much paint from your brushes as possible and clean with Hammerite Brush Cleaner and Thinners.
Coverage: 5 SqMtrs/ litre/ coat
