Rustins Worktop Oil
Preparation: The wood must be clean, smooth, dry and free from wax, dust and contaminants.
Clean by scrubbing with White Spirit or Rustins Surface Cleaner and a scouring pad, then wipe away whilst still wet with clean rags. Existing paint and varnishes should be removed with Paint and Varnish Stripper.
Bare wood may be dyed by coating with Rustins Wood Dye.
Application: Apply Rustins Worktop Oil liberally with a clean cloth or a Mako Pro Brush and wipe off the surplus oil after a few minutes.
The first coat should be applied liberally with a brush and allowed to dry without wiping. Blemishes may be removed from the final coat by applying the oil with a scouring pad, rubbing in the direction of the grain, then wiping away the surplus with clean rags or paper kitchen towels.
Coats: Bare wood requires 3 coats.
Drying Time: 2-3 hours depending on temperature and humidity.
Re-coating: Re-coat once the previous coat is dry.

Coverage: 12-13 Sq.Mtr per Litre/ coat, depending on the absorbency of the wood.
Shelf-life/Storage: Many years if stored in original, tightly closed container in normal cool, dry conditions.
