Osmo TopOil is a special formula of oils and waxes, designed for the natural treatment of kitchen worktop surfaces and many other internal joinery projects.

Osmo Top Oil is designed to penetrate and protect deep into the wood, leaving a flexible, micro porous, waxed finish, which protects and maintains the natural beauty of the wood.

It protects against normal household liquids including water, wine, beer, fruit juice, tea, coffee and many more, yet still leaving the wood with a natural look and feel.

Please see the INFO tab above for Preparation and Application advice.

Please see our Osmo section for the full range of Osmo products stocked, including the Original Polyx Hard Wax Oil, coloured version Osmo Polyx Oil Tints and the quick drying Osmo Polyx Oil Rapid. For alternative worktop protection please also see Liberon Finishing Oil and Rustins Worktop Oil.

Osmo Top Oil 3058/ 3068 and 3061:

Preparation: The wooden surface must be clean and dry before applying Osmo TopOil, lightly sand any previous oiled finish and remove any dust.

Application: Test in an inconspicuous area to confirm suitability and the final colour. A few drops of water onto the bare wood will give an indication to the colour the oil will bring out in the wood. Apply Osmo TopOil thinly and evenly with a lint-free Cloth or good quality brush such as Mako 5* Pro Woodcare Brush. Two coats will be required if applied by brush, 3-4 coats if applying by cloth. Leave to dry overnight for 8-10 hours between coats.

Cleaning: Water mixed with Osmo Wash and Care should be used for general cleaning of TopOil treated surfaces. It is a water soluble concentrate designed specifically for cleaning oiled and waxed woods, without drying out the wood or removing the finish.

Reapply Osmo TopOil occasionally and thinly to renovate the surface and add protection.

Finish available: Clear Matt, Clear Satin Matt, Acacia (slightly coloured) or NEW Natural.
Clear will enhance the natural colour of the wood (wet look effect).
Natural provides almost invisible protection for the wood and counteracts the 'wet-look' associated with oil finishes.
Acacia contains a subtle pigmentation to give wood an aged appearance.

Coverage: 24 SqMtrs/ litre per coat

Drying Time: 8-10 hours

Storage: upto 5 years when protected from frost

Available in: 500ml
