Osmo Polyx Oil 3032 Satin - The original Hard Wax Oil, is a unique formula of oils and waxes designed for the natural treatment of wooden floors and many other internal joinery projects.
Osmo Polyx Oil Satin is designed to penetrate and protect deep into the wood, leaving a flexible, micro porous, lightly waxed finish, which protects and enhances the natural beauty of the wood.
Please see the excellent VIDEO clips above showing the Why to Choose Osmo Polyx Hardwax Oil over other floor finishes and Osmo's Polyx Oil Application Guide.
For exotic hardwoods we would recommend Osmo Wood Wax Finish Extra Thin 1101.
For Bathrooms and Kitchens to give higher water resistance, a basecoat of Osmo Wood Protector 4006 is recommended.
If a higher sheen level is required or the floor needs refreshing or reviving after hard use, Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner and Osmo Polyx Oil Gloss are also available.

Osmo PolyX Oil Original 3032:
Preparation: The wooden surface must be clean and dry before applying Osmo Polyx Oil Original.
Remove any previous floor varnish by sanding with P100 - P150 grit abrasives or P180 - P240 grit on furniture; fill any small imperfections with a good quality filler, larger cracks can be filled by mixing the saw-dust with a Joint Gel filler, before vacuuming to remove all dust.
Application: Test in an inconspicuous area to confirm suitability and the final colour. A few drops of water onto the bare wood will give an indication to the colour the oil will bring out in the wood. Apply Osmo Polyx hard wax oil thinly and evenly with a good quality brush such as Mako 5* Pro Woodcare Brush or for larger areas Osmo 220mm Floor Brush or Mohair Roller and spread well. Two coats will be required, apply a second coat after allowing to dry overnight or 8-10 hours as per the first.
Cleaning: Osmo Wash and Care should be used for general cleaning of Polyx Original treated floors. It is a water soluble concentrate designed specifically for cleaning oiled and waxed floors, without drying out the wood or removing the finish
