Osmo Door Oil 3060 Clear Satin:
Preparation: The timber door or joinery surface must be clean and dry before applying Osmo Door Oil.
Remove any previous varnish with a paint stripper or by sanding with P120 - P180 grit abrasives; fill any small imperfections with a good quality filler before wiping over to remove all dust.
Application: Test in an inconspicuous area to confirm suitability and the final colour. A few drops of water onto the bare wood will give an indication to the colour the oil will bring out in the wood. Apply the first coat of Osmo Door Oil thinly and evenly with a good quality brush such as Mako 5* Pro Woodcare Brush or Mini Microfibre Roller. Leave to dry for 8-10+ hours (preferably overnight) before applying a second coat as per the first. Osmo Door Oil can also be applied with a lint-free cloth; 3-4 coats will be required.
Cleaning: Osmo Wash and Care should be used for general cleaning of stubborn stains on Door Oil treated joinery. It is a water soluble concentrate designed specifically for cleaning oiled and waxed surfaces, without drying out the wood or removing the finish.
If a higher sheen level or deeper wax finish is required the surface can be polished with Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner.
