Rustins Interior Danish Oil is suitable for bare wood, doors, joinery, furniture and is BS EN 71 approved safe for toys. Rustins Interior Danish Oil is a unique a blend of natural oils, including tung oil, resins and driers, producing an open-grained, low lustre finish on interior wood and veneered surfaces.

Preparation: Bare wood should be clean, dry, smooth and free from wax, dust and contaminants. If prior wax is to be removed, use white spirit or Rustins Surface Cleaner and a scouring pad. Wipe whilst still wet with a clean cloth. Existing paint and varnishes can be removed with Rustins Paint and Varnish Stripper. Bare wood can be dyed before applying Rustins Interior Danish Oil.

Application: Apply Rustins Interior Danish Oil generously with a clean cloth or quality Mako Woodcare Brush, wiping off excess oil after a few minutes. If nibs occur, remove from the final coat by applying oil on a scouring pad, rubbing in the direction of the grain and then wiping away with a clean cloth or paper kitchen towel. Bare wood will need approximately three applications of Rustins Interior Danish Oil, allowing 4 to 6 hours drying time. Re-coat once previous application is fully dry. The ideal application temperature would be 15-25°C.

Maintenance: Periodic re-oiling will be required. Clean surfaces before new application with white spirit.

Rustins Interior Danish Oil is recommended for use over the following Rustins products, Wood Dye, Grainfiller and Woodstopping. Dye can also be added to the Danish Oil. Rustins Polyurethane Varnish can be applied over Rustins Danish Oil at any time.

Clean brushes used, if any, with White Spirit whilst still wet.
