Liberon Decking Oil - The Deck Oil Treatment and Protection
Liberon Decking Oil - 5 litre
Liberon Decking Oil feeds and protects most types of timber decking and will bring out the natural beauty of your timber garden gates, sheds, fence panels, hot tubs and many more external wood projects as well as Decking!
New colour for 2012 - Medium Oak
Liberon Decking Oil contains UV filters to protect against fading and discolouration from the sun, it is ideal for reviving and restoring colour to old or new decking.
Liberon Decking Oil is extremely water resistant, blocking the water on the surface, and will produce a great looking finish and protection to garden timber.
Product use:
Liberon Clear Decking Oil feeds, protects and brings out the natural beauty of most types of timber decking. It will revive and bring back colour to old or new decking and can also be used on many other external wood products. Whilst maintaining an excellent finish, Liberon Decking Oil contains UV filters to help reduce damage from the sun.
If your decking is very silver or grey and has lost all its colour, Liberon Decking Oil in Teak wll put that colour back into the timber. Teak Decking Oil can go a little orange if used on timber still containing it's original colour, in this case use the excellent Clear Decking Oil for full treatment and protection.
Preparation:
Always ensure surface is clean, dry and clear of any previous finishes. Clean older timber with Liberon Decking Cleaner
Tough Deck Clean & Revive
and lightly sand new timber and remove all dust particles.
Application:
Stir well before use. Apply a liberal coat to the surface with a
Mako Woodcare Brush
, short pile
Roller
or
Mako Decking Oil Roller Kit.
Allow to soak for 1-2 hours, then apply a second coat. Carry on applying more coats until the wood will not absorb the oil. Wipe any excess oil with a lint-free cotton cloth and leave to dry for 24 - 48 hours before walking on the decking.
Oil finishes bring out the natural colours of the wood and a wet surface is a good indication of the final colour, always test Liberon Decking Oil on a discreet area to establish finished result.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
To keep your decking looking good, it is recommended to apply one or two coats of Liberon Decking Oil once a year. However, for high traffic areas, re-apply as and when required.
Precautions:
Liberon Decking Oil may not be suitable on some foreign hardwoods - Use
Liberon Aqua-Stop Tough Deck Clear.
