Liberon AQUA-STOP Tough Deck Finish

Liberon AQUA-STOP Tough Deck Finish is a sophisticated 3 in 1 formulation of Wood Preserver, Colour and Stain Protector in one. Carefully designed for the long term care of most types of hard and softwood timber decking. Using pioneering water-based nano-technology, Liberon AQUA-STOP Tough Deck Finishes contains natural oils that penetrate deep into the wood to prevent damage by water or sunlight, whilst still guaranteeing long lasting protection for your decking against weathering. Its liquid formula makes it easy to apply with a matt finish which enhances the natural grain of the wood. It is safe to use around animals and plants.

Preparation: Stir well before use and ensure the surface is dry, clean and free from previous finishes.

On New Decking: For hardwoods, leave the wood open to the elements for up to 12 months before applying a finish. This allows the grain in the wood to open and breathe and helps adhesion and penetration of the finish.

On Older Decking: Totally remove any previous finishes and clean the decking thoroughly with Liberon Tough Deck Clean and Revive. Allow to dry for 24 hours before applying the finish.

Application: Apply a liberal coat of AQUA-STOP Tough Deck Finish with a quality paint brush like the Mako Woodcare Brush or roller with a Mako Decking Roller Kit. Leave to penetrate for 15 to 30 minutes (depending on the porosity of the wood) and wipe off any excess with a lint-free cotton cloth. Allow to dry for 2 hours before applying a second coat in the same way as the first. Wait 24 hours before use.

Important: Always test the product in an inconspicuous area or on a spare piece of timber for colour suitability and finished result. The application process generally will darken slightly the natural colour of the wood, however this will fade a few days after application.

Apply in temperatures between 5°C and 25°C in dry conditions.

On Tannelised timbers the colour may vary.

Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean your decking with Liberon AQUA-STOP Tough Deck Aftercare which will maintain the colour and appearance of AQUA-STOP Tough Deck Finish without damaging it. The use of an aggressive cleaner is not recommended as this is likely to damage the finish.
