Langlow All Purpose Paint and Varnish Remover

Langlow Paint and Varnish Stripper - 5 litre

Professional Use Only

Langlow All Purpose Paint & Varnish Remover is suitable for use on most types of paint and varnish, it is quick blistering and water washable.

As used by many restoration businesses, Langlow All Purpose Water Washable Paint & Varnish Remover is an excellent trade product, the thick gel-like consistency enables it to cling to vertical surfaces and eat through multiple layers of paint and varnish.

Preparation: Ensure the work is undertaking in a well ventilated area.
Wear suitable protective gloves like our Marigold Heavy Duty Rubber Gloves, Eye Protection, and an Apron.
Collect waste residue into a newspaper, allow to dry and dispose of into a waste bin. Only decant into glass or metal containers.

Application: Apply the Paint Stripper generously over the surface by dabbing with a clean paint brush.
Allow the paint Stripper to work into the surface until it starts blistering, then re-apply and leave for a further 10 minutes.
Remove blistered surface with a Scraper, Liberon Grades 2, 3 or 4 Steel Wool or possibly finer 3M Scotchbrite Abrasive Pads for fine contours or detail.
Re-apply where there is any paint still visible.
Rub down the stripped surface with Wire Wool and White Spirits to remove any ingrained paint and improve the appearance of the timber.
Wash the stripped surface with cold soapy water to remove any residue and allow to thoroughly dry before refinishing.
