 Fiddes Liming Wax
Fiddes Supreme Liming Wax produces a traditional "Limed finish", created to offer a white shade to stained or bare wood. This finish is usually associated with period oak furniture. Fiddes Supreme Liming Wax is ideal for oak, as well as woods which have the characteristic of a deep grain pattern. When applied, Fiddes Supreme Liming Wax, fills the open wood pores, giving complementary white tones and emphasizing the grain over the whole surface area.

Recommended usage
Fine furniture, floors, doors, cabinet work and panelling.

Preparation
Prior to application of Fiddes Supreme Liming Wax ensure all blemishes and glue residue is removed. Sand wooden layer in stages, firstly with a medium sandpaper (120 grit), advancing to a medium/fine grit (180-220grit). Always sand in the direction of the grain wherever possible.

With a clean wire brush, drag to allow the grain to open the pores and accentuate the grain pattern. It is recommended to seal with a coat of Transparent Shellac Polish.

Application
Apply Fiddes Supreme Liming Wax generously with a lint free cotton cloth or 0000 steel wool, into the grain, working with a circular motion. When the surface is completely covered, gently rub across the grain, ensuring the liming wax remains in the open pores.

Leave for approximately 5-10 minutes and buff in the direction of the grain with a cotton cloth.
To enhance the sheen level and protection, it is recommended to finish with a coat of Clear Supreme Wax Polish.
